The LED Costume Academy?
An online academy of video tutorials which will walk you through elements of LED design related to wearable art and accessories with focus on fashion, film/tv, theater costume and props, cosplay and dance, and art installations. From the electrical side we will share with you our preferred materials and ways to procure them, advanced soldering techniques, wiring methods, power supplies, and various control options. From the costume side we will share with you the best fabrics to provide opacity for your LEDs to shine through and durability for long-term use, as well as patterning, construction, and design techniques. Pulling from other industries and disciplines including aerospace, automotive and rigging we test out methods and products to help your designs succeed.
Aaron Nightingale

Aaron Nightingale has over 20 years of lighting experience in the theatrical and live entertainment industry. For more than 10 years he has focused on LED wearables with his company Nightingale LED Solutions and worked on Las Vegas production shows Cirque du Soleil's Michael Jackson ONE, Criss Angel's Mindfreak, and America's Got Talent Superstars Live with Light Balance.
Most recently he worked on Formula 1 and Janet Jackson: Las Vegas at Resorts World.

Shannon Nightingale
Co-Founder/Costume Technician
Shannon Nightingale has worked in the costume industry for the past two decades. Her experience encompasses all facets of costuming including running wardrobe for live entertainment, shoe building, wig maintenance, specialty laundry, costume design, pattern drafting, and construction. Working with Aaron over the last 10 years, troubleshooting LED costumes, she has learned tips and tricks for efficient and durable building and maintenance of LED wearables, as well as how to troubleshoot issues during live performances.
